Hello, my name is Dale and welcome to my Blogspot page. Unlike the polished, business manner of my other social networks, this space holds a more informal, 'feet up' type of atmosphere.
I am the owner and proprietor of 1 Van 1 Man, a York removals firm operating throughout the region. While the majority of my work is done on the ground - loading boxes, driving around Yorkshire, welcoming customers to the new home - it's important for me to remain active online. Not only is it good for business, it's also important that customers get the most receptive, modern and web-savvy treatment possible. Nifty features like online quote forms, social media enquiries and house removal guides would not be possible without a constant awareness of the online world. With that in mind, I'm always trying to find new ways to engage with my audience, as well as maintaining a good relationship with customers on the ground.
This leaves my online presence looking very business-like. Facebook, Google+, Twitter and even Pinterest - all are used to communicate with customers about the removals business. I don't mind this at all, but it's important to leave a little breathing space for the other things in life. That's where this blog comes in - a place not bound by the formalities of gaining leads, speaking formally or writing helpful tips. It is my online island, to do with as I wish. I look forward to where it takes me.
